The "Hummer", 1-bedroom suite, with a large covered porch facing the south-west is perfect for viewing south Texas's spectacular and colorful sunsets.
AccommodationsBirds of Paradise Inn has been designed, and will be maintained, with your comfort in mind. We want your visit, whether a long term stay or a short one, to be a memorable one. The Blue Heron 3-Bedroom House has almost 1700 sf of living space and is closest to the water's edge of Baffin Bay. The house has two living areas with vaulted ceilings, a separate dining room, central air conditioning and heat, ceiling fans, wireless Internet, satellite HD TV with sports package and it also has a fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed with a view of the water and a private bath. The two other bedrooms are extremely large with high ceilings and have either a king size bed or two twins (we will set the beds up in whatever arrangement you request) as well as a large shelving and closets for your personal items. These two bedrooms share the house's second bathroom. There is a 2 day minimum. The rate per night is $269.00* for 6 people. Please see the chart below for details. For photos, click here. The Great Kiskadee and Green Jay Triplex Suites are over 830 sf each and have two bedrooms, large living rooms with vaulted ceilings, separate dining rooms, central air conditioning and heat, ceiling fans, wireless Internet, satellite HD TV with sports package, a full kitchen, and covered porches with views of Baffin Bay. Each of the bedrooms has either a king size bed or two twins (we will set the beds up in whatever arrangement you request) as well as a large shelving and closet units for your personal items. The 2-bedroom suites have a separate walk-in shower and a separate large room with toilet and sink vanity. The rate per night is $169.00* for 4 people, 2 night minimum. The one bedroom "Hummer" Guest Suite (short for Hummingbird) is approx. 460 sf, has a large vaulted ceiling in the living room and dining room, central air conditioning and heat, ceiling fans, wireless Internet, satellite HD TV with sports package, and a full kitchen. The separate bedroom has a queen sized bed and a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and large shelving and closet unit for personal item. A large front porch provides the perfect location to enjoy the spectacular setting sun. The rate per night is $99.00* for 2 people, 2 night minimum. Please see the chart below for details. * Nightly rate is for the max. number of guests shown; rates do not include state and county occupancy taxes. Early Check-In (prior to 4:00 pm) and/or Late Check-Outs (4:00 pm) will be charged an additonal $40.00 per accommodation. A one night stay rate is the same as a two night stay.** Prior to arrival at the Inn, please check with the Inn regarding additional guests over the max. listed in the above chart. One (1) additional guest may be agreed to per Triplex suite or apartment (includes adults, children and infants). Up to two (2) additional guests may be agreed to in the House. All rates shown do not include tax. Only a small child may stay in the "Hummer" as an additional guest.The Blue Heron House has a futon fold down couch which can accommodate a child or small adult. We will provide bed linens, pillows, towels, and a blanket, the rate is $40.00/person/night.Only registered guests may be on Inn property, stay in the House, Triplex apartments or use the grounds, gardens and the pier. Day guests are not permitted unless the entire Inn has been rented for a special event, by a group or family. Each guest apartment has a full kitchen with appliances such as microwave, toaster, stove/oven, coffee maker and refrigerator. Kitchens also have dishes, glasses, cooking utensils, complementary coffee and tea.
